World of Tanks Scheldt Campaign Writing Contest
World of Tanks is holding a writing contest in which participants show off their narrative skills in penning a story centered around the Scheldt Campaign of World War II. This campaign took place in the area of Scheldt, north of Antwerp, and was comprised mainly of Canadian forces pushing against German defenses.
Three operations were involved:
- Operation Switchback
- Operation Vitality
- Operation Infatuate
WoT says:
We ask of you to choose one of these operations, and use all your creativity to write a minimum of 800 words to a maximum of 1000 article, story, or military writing based on what happened during that step. Your writing can be humorous, from the first person, written like a diary; the possibilities are endless, only your imagination is the limit!
Entries must be emailed to the WoT events team by October 2 in .doc format. More information is available on the WoT message board at this link.
The1st place winner will receive 6,000 game gold, 2nd place 4,500 gold, and 3rd place gets 3,000 gold.
