Vindictus Version 1.31 Update Goes Live

Nexon pushed out its most recent update for the free to play game Vindictus this week.  The 1.31 update introduces a new character, Karok: The Pillar of Strength, a giant from the lands in the south that wields a massive pillar as a weapon.  Karok is described as a large menace that can unleash a massive amount of damage, but his attacks are extremely slow and none of his moves are area of effect.

The update is also bringing new transformations for the Paladin and Dark Knight.  The biggest changes for the transformation are that the skills have been broken into two stages.  Stage 1 will need to be completed before going to Stage 2.  Check out details on the new skillsets here.

1.31 will also be the end of Vindictus’ token system.  Tokens were used to gain access to various content in the game.  In the near future, Nexon plans to implement a new use for Seals of Dedication.

The update will also introduce a leader board system, where players can see their rankings (and other players).  Furthermore, while in a party, a new ranking system will show how each member performed in an instance.
