In one of the rarest moves in MMO history, Glitch announced that their just-launched flagship title, Tiny Speck, is unlaunching from live to beta mode. The development team plans to work out some gameplay issues that have arisen since the game went live.

The status change for the game doesn’t affect current user accounts or characters, but it does mean that things can change unannounced as the developers make upgrades to the game for stability and other issues.
Specifically, developers cite the numerous complaints about the game’s initial learning curve and play. Developers also note that the game’s creative tools for interacting with and changing the sandbox environment are lacking.
