Rise of Isengard Patch Notes Now Available
Turbine has released patch notes for the just released Rise of Isengard expansion for Lord of the Rings Online. The expansion opens up Dunland, Isengard, and the Gap of Rohan to players and increases level maximum to 75. It also expands the storyline for the background thread to Isengard and the rise of Saruman.
Players who make it to Isengard’s endgame can look forward to a Tier 1 and Tier 2 raid against the dragon Dragioch, where they may be rewarded with new second age Legendary Item rewards and raid-level crafting recipes.
Other updates include:
- Tier 7 crafting
- Monster play opened up to F2P players
- All 9 classes receive new/improved skills
- Updates to Fellowship maneuvers
- Fixes to quests and stat updates
A new statistic, called Finesse, has been added as well:
For all of those players who think the random number generator has it out for them, this is the stat for you! Finesse is a ratings-based stat that will directly reduce the Resistance of monsters as well as their Block/Parry/Evade ratings. This stat will appear primarily on instance/raid/PvMP loot, but there will be a few pieces available with Finesse from quests and crafting. This new stat is a two-sided weapon because monsters will also have access to it. Most landscape monsters won’t have much, if any Finesse, but expect high difficulty instance/raid Boss monsters to have quite a bit.
The much-awaited expansion has rolled out in North America and Europe and is now available for purchase and download.
