Lord of the Rings Online – Mount Emotes

One of the things that players of Lord of the Rings Online (LotRO) have clamored for ever since mounts were added is to be able to both fight on and do heroic poses on them.  Now they have both with the release of the Rise of Isengard and an upcoming game patch for November.

When the Rise of Isengard released, it introduced mounted combat to the game.  Although limited in many ways, this form of combat has been long-awaited by players and has thus far received mostly positive feedback from them.  Developers have promised that future upgrades to the game will include more mounted combat options and abilities.

Meanwhile, the more social players have been begging for the ability to post on their mounts in a way other than just sitting on them.  A soon-t0-launch patch will give them this with “mount emotes” that will be available for purchase in the LOTRO Store.

These emotes include:

/mountbow – causes the rider’s mount to bow

/mountkick – causes the rider’s mount to kick backwards (pictured)

/mountrearup – causes the rider’s mount to rear up in a heroic pose

The abilities will work on any mount in the game and for any character capable of riding on those mounts (and who has purchased the ability).
