Lineage 2 To Get Hybrid Revenue Model

NC Soft West, the makers of Lineage 2, have announced that the game will adopt a hybrid revenue model to “feature an order of magnitude greater than those of a conventional subscription model, and creates a new way to play.”

To add to this, the developers have partnered with Innova and will be releasing the game to European and Russian players soon.

The details of the revenue model or release dates for the new servers have been been disclosed, but will likely mean a better free to play structure than the game has announced so far.  When Lineage II: Goddess of Destruction goes F2P, most expect it to gain many new players, but some are wondering if the private servers the game currently enjoys will be lost.

Lineage 2 is one of the few open PvP games in MMO.
