MediaSpark has shown off its latest MMO to the press. The game, called GoVenture World, is an MMORPG that lets players pit themselves against educational challenges online. It’s an all ages game aimed at the educational sector.
GoVenture World is about setting up a business and all of the things that go with that. Players begin a business and try to make it a success through collaboration, marketing, and more. Players can go into manufacturing or retail and must ally with their counterparts in contractual relationships to build their market. Since this is the modern era, they can also choose to be lawyers and go after businesses that infringe on others’ ownership rights.
As the game progresses, other ventures become available such as becoming a venture capitalist or investor in new startups that other players are trying. There’s even a GoVenture World stock exchange.
Most of the technology in GoVenture World is centered on communication. It’s like a large social MMO where instead of teaming up to beat up monsters, you strike business agreements or sue each other for breaking them.
GoVenture World is part of MediaSpark’s GoVenture franchise. It is now accepting applications for closed beta. See GoVentureWorld.com for more details.
