The biggest international game trade show in Korea, G-Star, will launch its 2011 event on Thursday, November 10th. The show features a wide array of arcade, board, console, online and mobile games, vendors, and developers. This year’s show is at BEXCO in Busan.
The show will feature 380 game companies coming from 28 different countries, the largest show yet for G-Star, which is in its 7th year. Firms like Nexon, NCsoft, Neowiz, Hangame, and Blizzard will be there. All showcasing games that will release in 2012.
The four-day event lasts through Sunday and is expected to attract 280,000 people this year. The event is organized by Korea Creative Content Agency and IT Industry Promotion Agency and hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Busan Metropolitan City.
Neowiz Games is the official sponsor of this year’s event and will be presenting a new third-person shooter (3PS, called DIZZEL) as well as two new massive multiplayer online (MMO) role playing games (RPG) at the show (BLESS and EIN).
NEXON will be releasing 7 games on different platforms through the G-Star event, including Epic of the Three Kingdoms, a 3-D MMO RPG, a browser-based game based on the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
NCsoft will be promoting Guild Wars 2 and Lineage Eternal for Korean release.
Hangame will unveil three newly-released games: Winning Eleven Online (sports game of soccer/football), Metro Conflict (FPS), and Kingdom Under Fire (RPG strategy).
