Flyff Renaissance Expansion Goes Open Beta

Flyff (Fly for fun) has launched the Renaissance update (v18) into open beta so players can now check out the new content expansion themselves.  The expansion adds new dungeons, gear and over 100 new quests.

The new expansion is slated for final release this November.  gPotato, the company that makes Flyff, has created a new site to showcase the expansion on the official site for the Flyff MMO.

The developers have added a complete reworking of the item drop system.  This goes with the new and more powerful weapons and mid-level and upwards dungeons that have been added. Many of the new dungeons are instanced to save server load.

Another addition are new Menacing Masquerpets (pets) for players to collect.  These companions serve various uses in the game, depending on the type and the player’s character.

In all, a large update that will finally hit regular game play at the end of the month.
