For those Final Fantasy fans that are feeling a bit nostalgic, Square Enix has released Final Fantasy XI: Ultimate Collection Abyssea Edition. For a mere $19.99 USD, players can immerse themselves in the world of Vana’diel and all four of the game’s expansion packs: Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathia, Treasures of Aht Urghan, and Wings of the Goddess.
Also included in this edition are the three add-on scenarios A Crystalline Prophecy, A Moogle Kupo d’Etat, and A Shantotto Ascension.
But if that’s not enough for you, Square Enix has also thrown in three battle add-ons: Visions of Abbysea, Scars of Abyssea and Heroes of Abyssea.
The 2003 MMORPG from Square Enix has come a long way since its launch. A more traditional grind-it-out system, developers have, over time, listened to the player base by providing faster leveling options and the ability to defeat monsters with small groups or solo.
The battle add-ons feature increases in the level cap (eventually to level 99), new shiny gear, and zones that give players massive stat boosts to take on some of the more legendary monsters in the game.
