Under beta testing until Wednesday this week, CrimeCraft: GangWars is expected to release in December to this popular free to play (F2P) first person shooter (FPS). The expansion is a new storyline explaining the gang battles for control of Sunrise City in the days following the destruction of the Scorpion Chamber.
The greatest new feature of the game expansion, which is now finishing testing, is Territory Wars. This is a gang vs. gang (PvP) face off to control lobbies and instances in the map.
If you are an old-time game player, you may recall a paper-based strategy RPG called Gang Wars. It was very similar and I can admit to having run two different long-term play-by-email versions of it myself. It was a lot of fun, so hearing about this being added to the most obvious MMO for the genre is encouraging.
CrimeCraft hasn’t set a date for the release of GangWars, but has promised it for December with the actual date depending on how long bug fixes for things found in beta require. Players interested can still sign up for beta to test Territory Wars through Wednesday in special scheduled events this week.
