NetDragon has announced that Conquer Online has launched its iPad app and the new game client can be downloaded from iTunes. Both an iPad and Facebook app version of the game were announced in September and promised for release this year.
The game is fully playable in the iPad iteration, which NetDragon promises has simple and quick controls and navigation. The game utilizes a “tap-and-swipe” control scheme suitable for those familiar with the iPad’s touch screen interface.
Reviews of the game’s iPad offering have thus far been mixed. Many are expecting a full PC-like experience while others are confused at the PC-like experience they’re seeing on the iPad. PC-centric players want the game to function just like it does on the PC, which is a physical impossibility on a tablet. iPad-centric reviewers seem to want the opposite: a rich touch screen experience from a PC game.
Neither will be happy here. Most likely, the only regular players the iPad version of this MMO RPG will have are those hardcore Conquer lovers who want to be able to play whenever and wherever they are.
iPad owning MMO players can get the app free on iTunes at this link.
