City of Heroes Issue 20 Goes Live

The highly anticipated City of Heroes Issue 20: Incarnates Ascend went live today.  The content update introduces a new trial, Keyes Island, along with a number of adjustments to current trials and fixes to game clients.

Keyes Island Trial

The patch notes reveal an extensive description of Keyes Island, along with details of terrain and player obstacles.  Players will be teaming up to gain control of Keyes Island, preventing Emperor Cole from retaliating.  NPC Anti-Matter has taken control of the weapons systems, furthering the threat on Keyes Island.

Here is an excerpt from the live patch notes on Keyes Island:

The event takes place at the Keyes Island Reactor, accessible only via the Team Up Teleporter system. Players are tasked with gaining control over each reactor before they have a chance to confront Anti-Matter himself. Gaining control over each reactor requires re-establishment of the magnetic containment system that contains the antimatter reaction within, effectively nullifying the weapon, which is constantly active throughout the assault. This can only be done by acquiring power cells to install at terminals around the reactor.

Other

In-game merit reward vendors will be located in Ouroboros. Players can obtain Ascension Armor, new chest emblems, auras, costume emotes, and recipes.

A number of fixes to the UI, and game client bugs for German and French players have also been resolved.
