CCP, the makers of EVE Online and whose upcoming World of Darkness MMO and Dust 514 PlayStation offering were heavily anticipated by press during the recent EVE Online convention in Iceland, has announced that they have laid off 20% of their employees and will significantly curb development of World of Darkness, but may pick it up again in the future.
Most of the reorganization will be reducing worldwide staff – mostly those working on World of Darkness and peripheral EVE activities will be closing. Most of the layoffs are expected to happen at the company’s Atlanta, Georgia, USA offices.
