CCP Games in Iceland has named Chinese game publisher TianCity as the exclusive publishing outlet for the popular EVE Online MMO’s upcoming mainland China release. The partnership was announced at a press conference in Shanghai today.
The latest release of EVE Online is coming in the next quarter of 2012 and will become available to Chinese players at that time. The Chinese servers will utilizes CCP’s Carbon technology platform.
EVE Online currently has 400,000 active players in 200 countries and adding China to the stable will likely grow that significantly.
