The Age of Conan: Unchained development team has published their September Development Update letter. This one outlines the basics coming with the next four patches coming to AoC as well as some secretive things that will be slipped into the game without updates.
“There is also some content work that is carrying on in the background, and isn’t currently set against any one particular update. The stuff on this list will appear scattered throughout the various updates listed..”
Some patch highlights include:
Update v3.1 will be mostly about improving server and game performance, with database optimization and server load balancing. Some of these updates will also improve how players’ clients interact with the server, speeding up game play and lessening lag.
Upate v3.2 will come before the end of the year and will see the launch of the anticipated House of Crom dungeons. The dev crew promises more in-depth on the House of Crom in next month’s newsletter.
In v3.3, the new Tier Four raid experience will be added and the final Khitai raid instance will come. New PvP world bosses and other additions will also be coming in early 2012.
In v3.4′s updates, more technical changes will be made to reduce server load and increase game play speeds and handling.
Finally, v4.0 will see big updates as the next adventure pack is fully released. This pack is still in pre-production and will likely be released summer of 2012.
