Mounts in Age of Conan, Rise of the Godslayer
If you want to see how the Rise of the Godslayer soundtrack was composed, head over to the Examiner (hint: huge drum). You can now also purchase the actual soundtrack and if you’re getting the good old fashioned physical copy, it even comes with specials like slide shows of original artwork and surround-sound mixes. Even if you haven’t given AoC a shot yet, the impressive Soundtrack and its making-of is definitely worth watching.
AirlockAlpha has some details on the upcoming Battlestar Galactica MMORPG. Developed by German Bigpoint, it’s going to be a browser-based adaption with which the company has plenty of experience with. So far there is only a trailer available that doesn’t feature any game-play, so it’s hard to tell if it will live up to justify its ‘mmorpg’ classification. Previous titles by the company like Space Invasion could be an indicator of what is to come – think Facebook games with competitive, unforgiving PvP, with timing being absolutely crucial.
DeadFrontier, a free-to-play 2D zombie MMO, developed by Creaky Corpse (I assume the company isn’t public…) is getting a 3D make-over. You can view details in the DeadFrontier YouTube channel. Maybe we’ll soon see AAA getting developed after they’re getting a stronger and stronger foothold in the browser games genre. Zombie apocalypse movies have certainly experienced a revival already, so why not a nice PvP-focused game?
